Classes

I teach in-person workshops at locations around Carlsbad, including the Carlsbad Museum and SENMC. Most of my classes are designed for beginners, though every level is welcome. No experience needed - just an open mind and a willingness to get your hands a little colorful.

Classes have been busy lately! I recently wrapped up a wonderful series of workshops at the Carlsbad Museum and had the best time with everyone who came out. More classes are in the works - follow me on Facebook or Instagram or check back here to stay in the loop!

Teaching Philosophy

For me, teaching is an extension of why I paint in the first place.

Art has always been a way for me to process the world - to reach the feelings that words can't quite hold. In my classes, I try to create that same space for others. A place to slow down, to play, to surprise yourself. I don't teach perfection. I teach presence.

Whether you leave with a piece you love or just a deeper curiosity about what watercolor can do, that feels like a win to me.

If you'd like me to teach a watercolor workshop for your group or organization, I'd love to hear from you. I also teach private lessons for smaller groups, birthdays, or anyone who just wants a more personal session. Reach out and let's talk about what you have in mind!
